AVANT-GARDE

In the simple exercise of imagining an exhibition on Futurism lies the first pitfall, the first affront to our avant-garde. How can we celebrate Futurist thinking without being traditionalist?
If they themselves wished to be overcome and dissolved in a dizzying perpetual renewal, isn't it an outrage to lock them up in a museum, in a catalogue, in a static space and time?
We believe that the most precious message of their enormous heritage is not to be found in an enclosed space, in a font, in a shape or in a colour, but in time, in an event, in light, in the simultaneous.

LUMINOUS MATTER

Starting from the previous analyses, we want to focus on Marinetti and his words, as he clearly defined the intentions of early Futurism. We therefore want to present an exhibition on typography in an unconventional way, where, within a dynamic space, which follows the principles of futurist sculpture, the works and words will be projected rather than exhibited, in order to free them and show them through contemporary technologies and setting in motion the time/space/light relationship that takes shape in the theories of Einstein, Bergson and in the painting of Boccioni, who sees reality as made up of pulsating energy of a particle nature. The editorial contents will have transparent pages where the plans and the works themselves will compose with them when leafing through, with the intention of evoking the previously exhibited methods of setting up the exhibition.

AVANGUARDIA

Nel semplice esercizio di immaginare una mostra sul Futurismo si cela la prima insidia, il primo affronto alla nostra avanguardia. Come possiamo celebrare il pensiero Futurista senza risultare passatisti?
Se loro stessi si auguravano di essere superati e disciolti in un vertiginoso rinnovamento perpetuo, non è un oltraggio rinchiuderli in un museo, in un catalogo, in uno spazio ed un tempo statico?
Noi crediamo che il messaggio più prezioso del loro enorme retaggio non si trovi in uno spazio chiuso, in una font, in una forma o in un colore, ma nel tempo, nell'avvenimento, nella luce, nel simultaneo.

MATERIA LUMINOSA

Partendo dalle analisi precedenti, vogliamo concentrarci su Marinetti e le sue parole, in quanto ha definito chiaramente le intenzioni del primo Futurismo. Vogliamo dunque presentare una mostra sulla tipografia in maniera non convenzionale, dove, all'interno di uno spazio dinamico, che segue i principi della sculltura futurista, le opere e le parole verranno proiettate anzichè esposte, al fine di liberarle e mostrarle attraverso tecnologie contemporanee e mettendo in moto la relazione tempo/spazio/luce che si concretizza nelle teorie di Einstein, Bergson e nella pittura di Boccioni, che vede la realtà come costituita da energia pulsante di natura particellare. I contenuti editoriali avranno pagine trasparenti dove i piani e le opere stesse si comporranno con esse quando si sfoglia, nell'intenzione di evocare le modalità precedentemente esposte di allestimento della mostra.
